2012 Prayer Campaign (5:00 PM)

In 2001, the UMJC Exec launched a prayer and fundraising initiative to involve both member congregations and individual supporters. Throughout the seven-week period from Passover to Shavuot (Leviticus 23:15–17), UMJC family members join in focused prayer, putting aside one dollar each night for a Shavuot offering going to the same cause covered in our prayers.

For 2012, the UMJC delegates decided to devote the prayer campaign and offering to our Kehilah 2020 (K20) initiative, focusing on future leadership. At the Young Messianic Jewish Scholars event co-sponsored by K20 (see "K20 brings together young scholars" under Community News), one of the mentors who was present said, “We sometimes ask whether Messianic Judaism will thrive beyond one generation, and we can see here that the answer is definitely yes!”

K20 is essential to this answer and it needs our prayer and financial support. Plus, a tithe of the Shavuot offering will go to Messianic Jewish efforts in Israel. So join the 2012 prayer campaign, April 7–May 26.
