Week Four: Prepare the Way among young adults, married and single, April 30-May 6 (alt. May 2-8)
Day Twenty-three, beginning sundown, May 1 (alt. May 3)
1. Recite the blessing
Baruch atah Adonai Elohenu melech ha-olam, asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotav vitzivanu al sefirat ha-Omer.
Blessed are you O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us by his commandments and commanded us concerning the count of the Omer.
Today is day twenty-three, which is three weeks and two days, of the omer.
2. Prayer for the day: Renewed influence on other young people.
For this reason I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you through the laying on of my hands; for God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline. Do not be ashamed, then, of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel, relying on the power of God. 2 Timothy 1:6-8
3. Put aside a dollar for the Shavuot offering to be shared with the Messianic Jewish community in Israel.
